What is Double Vision?

Are There Different Types of Double Vision?

How is Double Vision Treated?

• Special contact lenses
• Injections to relax eye muscles
• Temporary use of an eye patch

Your optometrist will begin with the most conservative treatment first, which is a prescription change and recommending eye exercises you can do at home. An eye patch may help correct the problem if prescription change and eye exercises aren't successful.

If these measures don't help, you may need Botox® injections to force the eye muscles to relax. While it's rarely necessary, eye alignment surgery can correct the problem permanently.
